Anne was initially our Senior Patient Safety Consultant for our institutional safety culture survey. She did a great job of explaining our results in a clear manner for different levels of staff and leadership. She also led numerous focus groups to debrief the data and trained our staff to lead these sessions. This led to a deep insight into the data, making it actionable which fostered meaningful change. This work helped our organization build a strong safety culture which is now in the 90th percentile nationally. During a period of transition before Anne relocated, I was fortunate to have her join my team as the Interim Director of Patient Safety and Accreditation Improvement. She brought a wealth of experience, a passion for patient safety and strong leadership skills to the role that really helped shape our Patient Safety program. Anne is a delight to work with!
Anne is passionate about using safety culture data to really understand what a hospital or work setting needs, and how to respond appropriately. She brings a wealth of expertise in survey design, administration, and use of the data to all of her work.
I had the pleasure of working closely with Anne during her tenure as the Director of Patient Safety at The Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. While this position is occupied typically by someone with clinical training, she demonstrated her effectiveness in this position as she worked closely with the clinical staff to investigate and mitigate issues related to patient quality and safety. She has an excellent command of medical terminology and clinical process. Anne was effective in her position and had the respect and trust of the clinical and administrative staff throughout the Johns Hopkins health care system.
I worked with Anne when she was our Patient Safety Consultant. She really engaged the staff in the results of the safety culture survey, and taught us how make the most of the data. It helped us to establish a new norm which was critical for driving positive change.
